An Exceptional Stay At The Omni Berkshire Place Hotel In New York

A couple weeks ago, my husband and I spent a long weekend in New York. We stayed at the Omni Berkshire Place Hotel, a four star establishment ideally located Midtown, close to some of the city’s top attractions such as the 5th Avenue, Times Square, St Patrick Cathedral and Central Park.

We arrived late at night on Thursday, a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries awaited us in our room, with a gift bag containing the book “Humans Of New York Stories”, by Brandon Stanton, which now sits on my desk at home.

I can’t even begin to describe our excitement as we discovered our drop dead gorgeous room, nestled on the 19th floor of the hotel, with a huge terrace that offered the most breathtaking view of New York ever. We got even more excited for the couple days we were going to spend in New York and couldn’t have been more grateful for choosing the Omni as our home away from home during our stay.

I had always heard of Spring being the best season to visit New York and now that I have experienced it, I couldn’t agree more. The nice weather made it so pleasant to sit on the terrace, which was furnished with a cute table and two chairs, to enjoy coffee in the morning, get some work done in the afternoon, and have a drink at night while still feeling the buoyant energy of the city and seeing its phenomenal urban landscape all around.

After great days of exploring everything the Big Apple had to offer, we loved coming back to our room to relax and unwind. The bed and bedding were so comfortable it felt like we were floating on a cloud.

Service at the hotel was flawless. From the moment we arrived to the day we left, every employee we talked to was incredibly kind, professional and helpful. The Omni is located close to some of the highest rated hotels in New York, such as La Grenouille, for instance, as well as other fantastic restaurants among which, Nino’s 46, an Italian restaurant that my husband and I discovered on our first stay in the City, only to realize it was located at a ten-minute walk from our hotel.

The hotel is equipped with an AMAZING gym that I have not had the opportunity to try. The gym faces the hotel’s mind-blowing terrace with a gorgeous view and has pretty much everything you would need for cardio and strength training. Usually hotel gyms are nestled in the basement which really doesn’t make you want to exercise, but this one is on the 17th floor and is very luminous. Had I had a bit more time in the City, I would have definitely exercised there. I even had a plan to go for a run in Central Park, which obviously never happened.

I highly recommend this hotel if you ever plan on visiting New York soon. A room with such a terrace in the heart of Manhattan? You can’t top that.
